Hi, I’m Emily. I am an Art Therapist and a licensed Counselor. I work within a relational-cultural framework, which is based on the idea that disconnection is a source of suffering. We live in a time where the ability to connect is at our fingertips, but many of us still struggle with feelings of anxiety, depression, and isolation. In my practice, I strive to foster meaningful and healthy connections with my clients and support them in learning new ways to move through the world. I help clients address current and past challenging life experiences, and always take into consideration each persons unique cultural background.
As a clinician, I am experienced in addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, grief/ loss, trauma, cognitive challenges, stress, life transitions, aging, end of life issues, substance use, and harm reduction. I focus on building strong therapeutic relationships with my clients, in which I see you as the expert regarding your social/emotional wellbeing.
As an Art Therapist, I am able to help people engage in creative expression as a means to address the things that might be hard to fully express in words. As a counselor, I am able to provide talk therapy for those who prefer a traditional approach. Therapy with me is always tailored to meet your needs and preferences.
